Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation on the efficiency of managerial decision-making in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Digital transformation, encompassing the adoption of information technology, cloud-based systems, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms, has fundamentally changed the way MSMEs access information, process data, and make critical business decisions. This study employs a quantitative approach with a survey design involving 175 MSME owners and managers who have implemented at least one form of digital transformation in their business operations, spread across five major cities in Indonesia. Data were collected using structured Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that digital transformation has a positive and significant effect on the efficiency of managerial decision-making (β = 0.547; p < 0.001), with the three most influential dimensions of digital transformation being the adoption of management information systems (β = 0.421), utilization of data analytics (β = 0.387), and digitalization of organizational communication (β = 0.312). The research model explains 68.9% of the variation in managerial decision-making efficiency (R² = 0.689). These findings provide strategic implications for MSME practitioners and policymakers in designing digital transformation roadmaps oriented toward improving managerial capacity and business competitiveness.
