ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN RISIKO DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP EFEKTIVITAS PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN BISNIS: STUDI EMPIRIS LINTAS SEKTOR

Abstract

The increasingly complex and uncertain business environment compels companies across sectors to systematically implement risk management as the foundation for effective decision-making. This study aims to analyze the influence of risk management implementation on the effectiveness of business decision-making in cross-sector companies in Indonesia. A quantitative approach with structured questionnaire instruments was used as the primary methodological strategy. The research sample consists of 120 managers and senior executives from companies in four sectors (banking, manufacturing, retail, and technology), selected through purposive sampling. Risk management implementation is measured through four dimensions: risk identification, risk measurement, risk mitigation, and risk monitoring, while decision-making effectiveness is measured through decision quality, decision speed, and decision consistency dimensions. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that risk management implementation has a positive and significant effect on business decision-making effectiveness (β = 0.612, t = 8.347, p < 0.001), with the risk measurement dimension as the strongest contributor (β = 0.284). The coefficient of determination R² of 0.632 indicates that 63.2% of the variation in decision-making effectiveness can be explained by risk management implementation. These findings affirm that companies implementing risk management comprehensively and systematically will achieve higher-quality, faster, and more consistent decision-making in the face of business uncertainty.
