Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Bahan Alami sebagai Produk Kesehatan dan Pertanian Ramah Lingkungan di Masyarakat Desa Jetis, Gunung Kidul

Abstract

Community service is the implementation of the role of universities in empowering village communities through training, mentoring, and capacity building based on local needs. This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the people of Jetis Village, Gunung Kidul, in utilizing natural materials as environmentally friendly health and agricultural products, as well as strengthening community service capacity and environmental awareness. The implementation method uses a participatory empowerment approach through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages that actively involve the community and village officials. The results of the activity showed the implementation of participatory training with structured materials, the increase of participants' knowledge based on pre-post evaluation, and the formation of technical outputs in the form of the use of EM4 technology and the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer from local waste as an alternative to chemical fertilizers. In addition, the activity also produced supporting outputs in the form of strengthening the capacity of community health cadres, greening education, and the integration of health-agriculture themes based on local potential. Thus, training on the use of natural materials based on community empowerment contributes to increasing village independence, environmental sustainability, and community quality of life in a sustainable manner.
