Penguatan Literasi Kesehatan Ibu dan Kader melalui Metode Diskusi Partisipatif di Komunitas Desa Jetis Gunung Kidul

Maternal and child health problems are still an important issue in rural areas due to limited access to health information, low understanding of pregnancy danger signs, and suboptimal stunting prevention practices. This community service activity aims to improve maternal and cadre health literacy through participatory discussion methods in the community of Jetis Village, Gunung Kidul. The implementation method is in the form of educational counseling, group discussions, and community-based mentoring to strengthen participants' understanding of maternal and child health. The results of the activity show an increase in the knowledge and awareness of mothers and cadres regarding the importance of pregnancy monitoring, nutritional fulfillment, stunting prevention, and comprehensive child care. The participatory discussion approach has been proven to be effective in increasing participant engagement and strengthening community capacity in supporting maternal and child health. Therefore, the community participation-based education model needs to be developed in an ongoing manner as a strategy to improve the degree of family health in rural areas.
